A guide to the Negotiation Body of Knowledge (NBOK™ Guide) delivers guidelines for conducting successful negotiations. It provides a comprehensive framework that includes aspects and processes for preparing and conducting negotiations.

The NBOK™ Guide is broadly divided into the following two sections:

• Aspects of Negotiation—The seven main facets that help you understand negotiation in principle. They are the foundation of the associated processes and can be applied to any type of negotiation. Aspects of Negotiation are covered in Chapter 2.
• Processes—The theoretical concepts involved in conducting single- and multi-issue negotiations. Processes are covered in Chapters 3 to 6 and include associated inputs, tools, and outputs.
